WHO WE ARE

One Village.
Many Voices.

Founded on the African proverb “it takes a village,” ViVa was started by four individuals who saw the need to strengthen connections within the Black community and bridge the cultural gap across the Rio Grande Valley.

Culture

Preserving and celebrating Black heritage, and building real cross-cultural connection.

Community

Creating spaces for connection, education, advocacy, volunteering, and leadership.

Commerce

Supporting entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and business visibility.
