DESCRIPTION:Together with The Historic Cine El Rey Theatre and Village In the Valley (ViVa)\, we will commemorate the life and legacy of the historic and legendary civil rights leader and U.S. Congressman John Lewis. \nWe are especially honored to also celebrate the life and legacy of our own local “Good Trouble” maker\, Sabrina Walker Hernandez—a fearless advocate and community leader whose impact continues to inspire and uplift the Rio Grande Valley and beyond. \nGood Trouble Lives On is a national\, non-violent day of action calling attention to the ongoing threats to our civil and human rights—including attacks on voting access. From felony disenfranchisement to harmful bills like the SAVE Act\, anti-democracy forces continue working to silence our voices.
